About Donohue Computer Services, LLC

After programming at a variety of different companies, I was finally led into an opportunity to work for a consulting firm called Dynamic Computer Services in 1997.  There, I worked with some of the finest people with whom I'd ever worked.  I realized then that I was destined to be a consultant. Mostly, I enjoy the variety and challenges that consulting/contracting brings. You get to work with a variety of people, platforms, and industries.

Unfortunately, Dynamic, like so many other fine tech companies, just couldn't endure the economic drought.  In 2002, they closed their doors.

Knowing that I wanted to continue consulting, I started Donohue Computer Services by supporting some of my former clients from Dynamic. But I didn't have enough work to keep food on the table. So I managed to find work as a "regular employee" for a couple of months.

Then in January of 2003, when IT jobs were drying up all over the place, I got the opportunity for which I had prayed. I was offered a long-term contract as a iSeries Programmer and Project Supervisor managing a wide variety of projects for anywhere from 3-7 programmers.  By February of 2003, I was on my own full-time.

I've really enjoyed being self-employed for 7 years now. It's not always fun, but it's always exciting!
